Getting a stop motion effect was quite simple. I enabled flash and set the camera to stop motion mode ( optimized shutter speed). To get motion blur, I simply enabled continuous mode. As you can see, continuous mode not only makes the motion blurry, but if the shutter speed is set correctly, it will also distort whatever is moving. As you can see in two of the photos, I'm almost invisible except for my 3 sets of legs. Awesome.

Assignment 3 Part 1: Research
Alfred Eisenstaedt was an American photojournalist of German descent. He was born in 1898 and died ,at the age of 96, in 1995. Eisenstaedt was most famous for his photography through a 35mm Leica Rangefinder camera. His use of the 35mm lens is considered to be avant-garde by today's standards, as the 35mm only became popular much longer after he started using it. Eisenstaedt was born in Germany and served in the German army in WWI. After being wounded in 1918, he became a freelance photographer. Due to the oppressive nature of the Nazi regime, Eisenstaedt moved to the US in 1935. His career took flight during this period and peaked during his coverage of V-J day (the end of WWII). I like this photographer because his pictures, due to his use of angles and the 35mm lens, look more modern than they really are. His environmental photography put a lot of emphasis on the facial emotional state of the models despite being sometimes surrounded by grandiose backdrops.
Here is an example of what I mean:

Assignment 1: Self portrait and camera procedures.
I own a PowerShot SD780 IS, which is a 12.1 megapixel digital camera made by Canon. The pictures are stored in a 8gb Kingston SD card and can be uploaded onto the computer by inserting the SD card into the camera and plugging the camera into the computer using the specific USB cable. The SD card can hold 2505 fine high res images, 5116 normal high res images; 12927 fine low res images and 24562 normal low res images. The images are stored in a .JPG format.
The camera came with a manual, but as with most manuals, ours is lost.

As you can see, I do not like taking pictures of myself.
