Assignment 5: Image manipulation
For the first image, I used the "Dark Stroke" option in brush strokes to give me a higher contrast and blur effect.
For the second photo, I went into "Stylize" and chose the "glowing edges" option. I then set the edge width to "1", the edge brightness to "20" and the smoothness to "11".
For the 3rd picture, I chose the "custom" option in "other" effects. I then went into the "hue and saturation" option and set the hue to +180, the saturation to -44 and the lightness to -14.
For the 4th picture, I used Photoshop. I went into Filter and selected the "Film Grain" option. I set the grain to 4, the highlight area to 0 and the intensity to 10. I then used the "magic wand" to select my green t-shirt and created a layer for it. I then selected my t-shirt layer and changed the vibrance to -100 and the saturation to +100 to create a less saturated color for my shirt. I then set the hue to +55, to give my shirt a blue tint instead of a green one.
For the last image, I also used photoshop and set the gradient map to grayscale. I then set the brightness to 32 and the contrast to 22. It's a simple black and white photo, but I do like how the brightness and contrast complement the almost gradient-like background.
